Start Your Family Website Here

We're excited to help you get the most out of your family website. Just fill in a few of the things below to get started.

Name Your Website

You can name this site however you like. We recommend using your family name in some way, for example, "Clark Connection" or "Johnson Journal".

You can also have a subtitle below the name of the site. Some people use this space to display the parents of the family.

Now you need to make a family website address. Because this address is an internet address, it has some rules to follow. For example, there can be no spaces, and you can use only lower-case letters. It also has to be unique--if someone has already used the name, there will be a X next to the box.

We've made a suggestion here, based on your family website name, but if you don't like it you can change it and see if the address you really want is available.

Note: If the most obvious address is already taken by someone else, you will see a number added to the address to make it unique. If you don't like that, try something of your own choosing and see if it's still available.

Send Us a Family Photo

This family photo will be displayed on the front page of your family website. It should be at least 512 pixels wide—anything larger is fine, since the picture will be resized automatically. If you don't know if your picture is large enough, don't worry. Just try it out and see if it looks right!

Secure Your Website

Because your site is a public site on the internet, we need to add some security to prevent others from using or abusing your family's information.

Make up some word or phrase that the family will be able to remember, and then share it with them over the phone or by email. Only people who know this password will be able to register on your family website.
